Triangle UFOs: Goverment toys or ET?

Triangle UFOs are the new "Foofighters" of the late 20th and early 21st centuries with reports from around the world. One sighting being of particular interest to me is the sightings in New Jersey, more specificlly;

CARTERET, NJ - Peter Davenport, Chuck Warren, WABC, CNN, and New Jersey FM 101.5 have reported that a large UFO was sighted near the Newark Airport on July 15, 2001. Numerous large bright lights were reported in a flying triangle pattern moving above the New Jersey Turnpike around 12:30 AM on Sunday morning July 15, 2001.

100 cars were pulled off the New Jersey turnpike watching as this took place, video footage was taken, reporters were there and solid eye witnesses were also present. Anyone reading this having traveled the N.J. Turnpike knows that pulling off to the side of the N.J. Turnpike is a risky business, for the eyewitnesses to have done so in order to watch this craft speaks volumes to me in itself. This was not a weather balloon, swamp gas or some other canned response usually given by goverment officials when a UFO encounter is under such scrutiny as this particular sighting was at the time.

You may be thinking to yourself at this point, "This was over 4 years ago. Yes, this sighting was, but what about the sightings that come in on a regular basis from around the globe? The way I see it is, as with any other high profile sightings goverment officials are involved with, they wanted to cover this up in a big way. But they had their hands tied. When it came time to "hush this up" too many people were already there along the turnpike, news reporters were filming and radio hosts were broadcasting much faster than usual because of the high profile nature of this sighting, being out in the open literally above millions of people. Sorry, not this time Uncle Sam.

Some have hypothesized this could very well have been a goverment experimental aircraft. Let's examine this a little closer. Generally, goverment secrets are not flown in plain sight above the N.J. Turnpike in one of the most densely populated areas of the world! This craft appeared to be under no distress nor damaged for anyone wishing to attempt to explain this sighting as a goverment experimental craft in distress and having to put down somewhere fast. This thing flew slow, deliberate and "peaceful" as one woman put it.
